Hoodie Neck Seam Tape: Coverage and Attachment Notes
A neck-tape callout should show which seam it covers, where the tape ends, whether it is visible and how it is attached, then be reviewed inside the sewn hoodie.
MyOwnWear buyer guide · Project-specific confirmation required
Identify the seam being covered
Mark the hood-to-neck or shoulder-to-neck seam on an interior drawing and distinguish the tape from the main seam allowance. Show whether tape continues across the back neck or follows another route. The term neck tape alone does not define its coverage or how it meets the shoulder seams.
Specify tape and attachment as separate fields
List the approved material reference, finished width, color and attachment method where those decisions matter. State whether the tape should cover the raw edge, remain visible or be enclosed. Avoid treating a decorative tape reference as proof that it will provide a particular stabilization result.
Inspect the transition points
Check both tape ends, shoulder intersections and hood seam joins for exposed edges, twisting or bulky overlaps. Use interior photographs with a clear size and version label. If a seam problem is observed, describe the location and appearance before proposing a cause or correction.
Request a sample-based confirmation
Include an inside-view sketch, tape reference and intended route in the RFQ. Ask for confirmation if the proposed attachment changes seam order or access. Approve the finished result on the garment rather than from an unattached tape swatch.
Buyer decision record
Record the garment style, material or trim reference, sample size, revision and the question being decided. If the supplier proposes a change, ask for the changed layer order, measurement or artwork location in a marked response before treating the quote or sample as comparable.

Buyer questions
Does neck tape automatically stabilize every seam?
No. Define its placement and attachment, then assess the intended construction on a sample.
What should a reviewer photograph?
The full interior route, both ends, shoulder intersections and the labeled sample version.
