Garment Pack-Out RFQ: Specify the Folded State and Components

A pack-out spec identifies the garment orientation, fold sequence, inserts, labels, bag or wrap, and final review evidence without assuming a universal packing method.

MyOwnWear buyer guide · Project-specific confirmation required

Show the folded garment as a sequence

Provide a simple diagram or approved sample photos that identify front, back, sleeve and hood positions during folding. State whether fasteners are closed and how cords or detachable trims are arranged. A finished folded image without intermediate orientation can be difficult to reproduce.

List every component in the pack

Specify whether a hangtag, sticker, spare button, care insert or other item belongs in the pack, and identify source and placement. Keep components separate from outer-carton instructions. If an item is optional, mark the condition that activates it.

Identify bag, closure and label fields

Describe the packaging material or reference, closure, warning or information artwork supplied by the buyer, and where labels should appear. Confirm any market-specific text with the responsible compliance owner. Do not invent legal copy or claim that a generic bag meets an unstated requirement.

Approve an actual packed sample

Ask for one labeled pack-out example, photographs and a contents list before the instruction is treated as final. Record garment size, color and spec revision. Link the pack-out decision to the RFQ and carton plan so unit packaging is not confused with shipping carton configuration.

Buyer decision record

Record the garment style, material or trim reference, sample size, revision and the question being decided. If the supplier proposes a change, ask for the changed layer order, measurement or artwork location in a marked response before treating the quote or sample as comparable.

Evidence scope

The linked references provide terminology or named-method scope only. They do not prove a MyOwnWear capability, a project result, a price, a lead time or a certification. Confirm the actual material, construction and acceptance criteria for the project.

  • Coats: Seam Types — Seam terminology and construction categories only; no project workmanship result.

Use this brief in the MyOwnWear RFQ form. Include the style, quantity, current file or sample revision and the decision you need confirmed.

Next step: ask for a written feasibility response that separates confirmed inputs from supplier-proposed alternatives, then approve the relevant sample evidence.

Keep the approved drawing, measurement or photo with the quote record so the same construction can be checked at the next handoff.

Buyer questions
