Oversized is a measurement relationship, not one larger size.
A streetwear tee becomes boxy, long, cropped or relaxed through the relationship between shoulder, chest, body length, sleeve, neck rib and fabric drape. Oversized T-shirt pricing changes with jersey and finish, pattern development, artwork process/coverage, color and size allocation, labels, packout and sample requirements. Lock those proportions first. Then place artwork on the approved pattern and define the finished measurement state after any wash or shrink route.

Fit translation
Convert the reference into measurable proportions.
- 01Name the silhouette.
State whether the tee is boxy, long, cropped, relaxed or another defined shape. “Oversized” alone does not resolve length and volume.
- 02Choose one base size.
Measure one approved reference with the same method the factory will use and identify the wearer or intended fit context.
- 03Lock the critical ratios.
Review chest-to-length, shoulder-to-sleeve and neck-to-rib relationships rather than changing each number independently.
- 04Separate fit from grading.
Approve the base pattern first, then define how width, length, sleeve, neck and artwork behave across the requested size range.
Choose the fabric route
GSM changes structure, but it does not define quality by itself.
Structured heavy jersey
Holds a boxy silhouette and larger graphic surface.
Review collar balance, drape, heat/ink behavior, weight, shrinkage and whether the intended season and shipping plan suit the fabric.
Midweight everyday jersey
Balances shape, movement and broader wear.
Useful when the fit—not only material weight—carries the streetwear direction. Confirm opacity, recovery, handfeel and decoration compatibility.
Washed or distressed route
Approve the finished garment state.
Wash, fade and distress can change shade, measurements, rib appearance, twist and artwork. Define acceptable variation before bulk release.
Artwork map
Place graphics from stable garment points.
A center-front instruction is incomplete without vertical position and finished dimensions. Review artwork on the actual oversized pattern, not only on a generic blank mockup.
Front: distance from high point shoulder or neck seam, center reference, print width and hem clearance.
Back: neck-to-art distance, width against the approved body, side-seam clearance and drape.
Sleeve: shoulder or cuff origin, rotation around the arm, reading direction and size-by-size rule.
Neck or hem: seam allowance, fold behavior, label interaction and visibility when the garment is worn.
Across sizes: state whether artwork size stays fixed, scales, or uses more than one approved screen/placement standard.
Wash and QC state
Specify when the measurement is authoritative.
