Care-Symbol Artwork: Control the Approved Asset and Revision
Use care-symbol artwork only after the responsible reviewer has confirmed the instructions and permitted asset source. Identify the exact approved symbols and revision, then compare the final label proof against that record rather than rebuilding symbols from memory.
For brand teams delivering approved garment label artwork.
Require approved instructions first
Identify who has confirmed the care information for the actual garment and destination. Keep unresolved instructions out of production-ready artwork. This guide supplies no treatment symbols or recommended care sequence. A graphic designer should not choose instructions from a fabric nickname, and an apparently familiar symbol should not be treated as interchangeable with another asset. Record the source of the approved instruction set before asking the label producer to prepare its layout.
Document the supplied asset source
Ask the responsible party to identify the authorized graphic source and any applicable use conditions. Keep the asset name, revision and intended instruction together. Do not copy a symbol from an unrelated online product image or assume a public preview provides production-use permission. If the available asset format is unsuitable for the receiving workflow, request an approved replacement rather than tracing or modifying it without review of the resulting meaning and permission.
Inspect the actual placed artwork
Compare the final label layout with the accepted asset record after import and sizing. Check whether marks, internal details or sequence changed, and whether clipping hides any part. Keep symbols and associated text correctly paired. Request a suitable physical proof if reproduction or legibility is unresolved. A vector file name alone cannot demonstrate the appearance of the actual label, and a language proof does not verify that the correct graphic asset was placed.
Reopen approval when assets change
If a layout application substitutes, redraws or replaces an asset, identify that change explicitly. Return the affected symbol and instruction to the responsible reviewer. Preserve the accepted final proof and source reference with the label revision. Keep graphic accuracy separate from market compliance and care-performance evidence; neither follows automatically from a clean asset handoff. Confirm the proposed producer scope before relying on it for artwork, instruction selection or regulatory review.

Buyer questions
Can symbols be selected from a fabric name?
Do not rely on that. Obtain approved instructions for the actual garment.
Does vector artwork prove compliance?
No. Graphic accuracy, permission, care evidence and market requirements are separate checks.
Is this a multilingual text-proof guide?
No. This controls graphic asset provenance and placement after the relevant instructions are approved.
