Buying decisions
Buyer Courier Account vs Supplier-Arranged Sample Shipping
Using a buyer courier account and asking the supplier to arrange sample shipping are different booking arrangements. Compare who can authorize a shipment, whose account receives transport charges and who handles a delivery exception. Neither choice approves the garment sample or establishes duties, taxes, insurance or liability by itself; confirm those items separately for the actual route.
For brand buyers coordinating sample dispatch with a garment supplier.
Define booking authority before sharing account instructions
Identify the person who may request collection and the person who may authorize charges. If the buyer proposes its own account, ask the carrier about its approved shipper-authorization process rather than placing account credentials in a public tech pack. If the supplier proposes booking, request the service description and charge basis before dispatch. Record the pickup address, recipient and contact details on the shipment instruction, not only in a conversation that another team cannot access. Do not assume that possession of an account number gives a third party permission to book.
Compare the same shipment, not two unexplained totals
Give both arrangements the same sample contents, destination and required receiving window. Ask for the actual packed dimensions and weight when available; a garment description alone is not a transport quote. Identify which proposed charges are estimates and which require later carrier confirmation. Separate transport charges from sample-development charges and ask whether any collection or handling item is additional. Duties, taxes and other destination requirements need their own route-specific answer; neither booking label supplies that answer. A lower estimated transport total should not silently change the destination or service scope.
Assign delivery-exception ownership without assuming claim rights
Name the contact who monitors tracking, informs the recipient and coordinates a missed collection, address problem or damaged delivery. Ask who can raise an inquiry or claim with the selected carrier under the actual account arrangement. Keep the dispatch record and shipment reference with the project, but do not infer insurance cover or a compensation entitlement from a tracking number. If the sample must return after review, decide the return booking separately. Receiving the parcel is a logistics event; fit, construction and artwork approval still need the agreed sample-review record.

Buyer questions
Is a buyer courier account always cheaper?
No price comparison is established here. Compare current responses for the same packed shipment and included service.
Does supplier-arranged shipping include destination charges?
Do not infer inclusion. Ask which charges are included, excluded or still estimated for the actual destination.
Does parcel delivery approve the sample?
No. Record receipt separately from the technical review and the buyer decision on the sample.
